VVSU Signs Cooperation Agreement with Harbin University of Commerce

Vladivostok State University took part in the 9th Russia-China EXPO, held as a part of the international "INNOPROM" industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg. The university was represented by First Vice-Rector Sergei Golikov and Deputy Director of the International and Cultural Affairs Department Olga Severianova. A key outcome was the signing of a cooperation agreement with Harbin University of Commerce.

The Russia-China EXPO is a major event for bilateral interaction in economics, industry, and investment. The exhibition featured over 300 Chinese companies from 18 provinces, including numerous educational institutions from Heilongjiang province.

During the event, First Vice-Rector Sergei Golikov and Olga Severianova met with a delegation from Harbin University of Commerce. The Chinese delegation included Vice-Rector Zhao Dawei, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department Jin Xianyang, and other officials from the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education and the University''s Russian Language Department.

The parties exchanged signed agreements to launch a joint bachelor''s program based on a "1+3" model. They also held negotiations on further cooperation, including developing joint programs in "Tourism," establishing a joint language center, and implementing youth and sports exchange programs.

It is worth noting that Harbin University of Commerce is one of VVSU''s key partners in Heilongjiang province. Current collaboration focuses on two main areas: a student exchange program and a joint degree program. Both universities actively participate in international education exhibitions in both Russia and China.
