Monument "Undefeated" Opened at VVSU in Memory of Military Feats
In celebration of Russia''s Victory Day marking the end of World War II, Vladivostok State University unveiled a commemorative monument titled "Undefeated" on the territory of campus.
The ceremony gathered students, faculty, and distinguished guests. Keynote speaker, Rector of VVSU Prof. Tatiana Terenteva, stressed the historical connection between generations and the significance of victory on the Far Eastern frontline.
Tatiana Terenteva highlighted that the university plays a crucial role in educating descendants of soldiers involved in special operations, as well as current students serving on the battlefield. The monument serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by previous generations and contemporary heroes.
She urged future generations of students and faculty to honor this tradition annually on September 3rd by laying flowers at the memorial site.
Concluding the event, volunteers removed the veil, revealing the monument to applause. Participants laid flowers in tribute to fallen heroes and ongoing defenders.
