Tatiana Terenteva Reappointed as Rector of VVSU

Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov has signed an order appointing Tatiana Valerievna Terenteva as rector of Vladivostok State University (VVSU).

The Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, as well as by the university’s staff and students supported this appointment.

Tatiana Terenteva, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor, first assumed this position in November 2015. Under her leadership, the university has strengthened its position: since 2016, it has been ranked among the top hundred universities in Russia and is the leader in education quality in the Far East.

In 2022, the university changed its name to VVSU. Key changes have included the establishment of an Engineering School and the opening of new programs important for the state and the regional economy.

The new term of office for the rector will be five years, from November 2025 to November 2030. This will allow for the continuation of the reforms previously initiated at the university.
