Into the New Life on Dragon Boats

Students and faculty members from the Institute of Pedagogics and Linguistics participated in a traditional autumn dragon boat trip. On September 27th, at Sergei Lazo''''s Park near Sanatornaya railway station, an annual event took place organized by Galina Kasyanenko and Maria Basova. The participants were welcomed as good friends by Andrei Khomenko''''s Eastern Dragons Rowing School.

Galina Kasyanenko shared her impressions:
- About hundred people gathered for this event. It was a beautiful day. Foreign students led by Anna Sviridova joined us along with Russian students accompanied by tutors Olga Smogunova and Anastasia Barabolina.

Anna Sviridova added:
- This excursion is important because it gives first-year students not only an opportunity to meet each other but also to feel the team spirit through collective effort. Moreover, many Chinese students come from provinces far away from the sea, so they can enjoy the beauty of our coastal autumn.

Olga Smogunova noted:
- My first-year group loved every minute of it. We rowed all the way from Lazo''''s Park to Okayskaya Station and back. Most importantly, everyone got acquainted and bonded. Such events are essential since they allow us to know each other better outside formal settings and prepare ourselves for the new academic year.
