Students of VVSU Took Second Place at Northeast Asia Cyber Festival in Mudanjiang

Students from the Institute of Information Technologies and Data Analysis and College of Information and Creative Industries participated in the first-ever cyber festival in Mudanjiang, China. They competed in gaming tournaments and returned home with prizes. Furthermore, VVSU signed a cooperation agreement with Mudanjiang University focusing on information technologies.

On the first day, VVSU representatives met festival organizers who provided detailed information about the schedule and competition disciplines. A public agreement on potential collaboration between VVSU and Mudanjiang University was also signed, outlining various exchange programs including academic, cultural, sports exchanges, joint educational initiatives, and more. Elena Kiikova represented VVSU at the signing ceremony.

Elena Valerievna presented VVSU''s international activities and then led the delegation to visit Mudanjiang University. Despite initial communication challenges due to language barriers, voice translation technology facilitated successful interactions. Chinese hosts warmly welcomed the visitors, offering gifts and souvenirs.

In addition to these events, students joined the cyber festival as Russia''s sole representative team. Competing against teams from China, Japan, and Korea, they secured second place in the mobile version of League of Legends Wild Rift.

"This trip left us with many positive impressions," remarked Elena Kiikova. "We look forward to further collaborations."

Daniil Bondarenko added, "Mudanjiang impressed us with its contrasts—a young developing city yet full of grandeur and culture. Its parks, bridges, and authentic monuments amazed us. Most memorable was the hospitality and enthusiasm of the locals."
