VVSU Student Design Bureau Presented Development Strategy at Moscow International Congress
At the Bauman MSTU campus during the III International Congress “Russian Engineer”, a forum of student design bureaus was held with participation from VVSU's delegation
The university was represented by Oleg Gorodnikov, head of the bureau, leading engineer Andrei Kras'ko, postgraduate Kirill Karsakov and master’s degree student in Transport Engineering Anastasia Alikina.
Dozens of like-minded participants gathered to discuss prospects for the development of design bureaus, support measures, personnel potential, and best practices. They shared experiences on key projects from across Russia.
“Student design bureaus are crucial for practical training. They bring together students and young professionals to solve real-world scientific and technical challenges, develop professional skills, and commercialize projects,” said Oleg Gorodnikov, head of VVSU's design bureau.
In team discussions and panel debates, representatives discussed major difficulties faced by design bureaus and outlined directions for their future growth.
Over several days, members of the VVSU delegation developed an ideal model for a design bureau.
“The forum helped us formulate our further development strategy based on successful projects from leading universities. During practical sessions we created an ideal model for a design bureau and exchanged project ideas with participants from other regions,” noted Anastasia Alikina.
As a result of joint work at the forum, clear scientific, educational, and economic outcomes were defined that design bureaus can provide to universities.
