We Are Different but Together!

26 ноября 2025 Students’ life

Within the framework of Tolerance Day, students from the Institute of Pedagogy and Linguistics visited a secondary school.

On November 24th, a group of foreign students along with trainees from the Institute for Preparation of Foreign Citizens arrived at School No. 72 in Vladivostok. Participants included Saynyabutsi Bomani (Laos), Magalhaes Rute Jose Alice (Mozambique), Pak Son Ir (North Korea), Han Gyum Ir (North Korea), Glori Olutayo (Nigeria), Mohamed Si (Senegal), Zhang Kai Bin (China), Su Cidi (China), Zhang Xuanyui (China). Students from VVSU organized a game called "Children of the World Are Friends" for the schoolchildren. Participants had to complete tasks at stations, such as arranging flags of different countries, collecting beans using chopsticks, singing songs in French and Portuguese. Children noted that the day was very busy, extremely fun, and interesting. The event culminated in a wonderful concert where guests recited poems in Russian, sang in their native languages, and danced. All students unanimously stated they eagerly awaited the next meeting with their foreign friends.

Deputy Head Teacher of School No. 72, Irina Gordonova, shared her impressions:

"November 24 was an international day when foreign students from VVSU came to visit us. They organized an exciting game ''''Children of the World Are Friends''''. Children from grades 7-11 took part. There were five stations proposed by the guests, and everyone completed them excellently. It was incredibly engaging. 11 grade class A students served as assistants in the game. But the highlight was the concert ''''We Are Different but Together.''''

Event organizer, specialist working with students at the Institute of Pedagogy and Linguistics, Galina Kasianenko summed up: "Visits by our foreign students to schools have become a good tradition during Tolerance Day. Pupils involved in these joint activities no longer remain unchanged, they become more interested in cultures of other countries, seek friendship with foreigners, share knowledge about Russian traditions, etc. Thus, children grow more motivated, open, enthusiastic, and humane. These qualities align perfectly with the purpose of our visits."
