Vladivostok State University continues a cherished tradition with its annual play involving both Russian and international students in the run-up to the New Year. This year marks the first time that Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale «The Snow Queen» has been adapted for this event.

This festive performance took place at the university for the sixth consecutive year. The Institute of Pedagogy and Linguistics at VVSU was responsible for organizing it. Among those involved were not only newcomers but also experienced student actors who brought together an enthusiastic multicultural team.

Quote:“Events like these, where an international team works together, always leave lasting memories. They teach children communication skills, language learning, and basic acting techniques. I love working with young people. In this production, we had participants from China, Turkey, Nigeria, Egypt, and Indonesia,” says Galina Kasyanenko, specialist category I at the Institute of Pedagogy and Linguistics.

Organizers emphasized that rehearsals were lively and engaging. Each participant wanted their own lines, so roles and dialogue were distributed evenly among everyone. Moreover, the students playing robbers went even further by staging a circus act—learning juggling and hula hoop tricks.
