A key feature of studying in the School of Law is the connection of the educational process with practical part in the relevant professional field. Starting the first year the students are immersed in the practical aspects of their future profession. This is achieved by the involvement of the managers and leading employees of state and municipal bodies, enterprises and organizations in the educational process and by systematic excursions to future employers.
Starting from the second year of undergraduate education, when the focus in the educational process shifts towards the study of professional disciplines, the educational process is complemented by the educational method of professional situations modeling. This method is executed using materials of real cases (incidents) that occurred in professional activities of teachers. Practicing experts in the field of law, psychology, and business give master classes to improve the professional competence.
At graduation courses the students come to future employers to undergo industrial and pre-diploma internship. During the internship they complete the development of key professional skills necessary for young professionals to succeed in future job.
The themes for graduation papers are provided by the most important employers and partners. The School of Law concluded cooperation agreements with the Prosecutor’s Office of the Primorsky Krai, the Fifth Arbitration Appellate Court, and the Territorial Department of the Ministry of Justice for the Primorsky Region, the Administration of the Primorsky Krai, the Bar Association of Primorsky Krai and other bodies, institutions and organizations.
By the graduation the students have a clear understanding of the characteristics of their profession. This allows them to make a choice of a job consciously and participate in the process of solving work tasks and build up professional experience.
